More about your role:

We're seeking a Senior Technical and Environmental Manager to join our team, reporting to the Director of Central Technical Services within the Developments Central Team. Our focus is clear: drive technical excellence and environmental sustainability across our Developments Business. We're dedicated to setting industry standards and implementing best practices in house types and environmental initiatives.

You role will be to:

  • Develop and manage house type ranges in England and Scotland.
  • Provide full support for standard house types, including brochures, specifications, and construction details.
  • Assist in creating and implementing development Environmental plans.
  • Gather and act on feedback, especially for specification and project viewpoints.
  • Collaborate with the Central Team and across functions.
  • Stay updated on UK regulations, guiding standard processes for regional business.
  • Establish a centralized process for reporting technical and quality issues.
  • Build relationships with external organizations and stakeholders.
  • Participate in key forums for business improvement.

More about you:

To be successful in this role you will have Expertise in construction methodologies, including concrete frame, timber frame, and traditional approaches. Strong business acumen with a keen eye for identifying opportunities and mitigating risks is needed, as well as an In-depth knowledge of building regulations, standards, and CDM regulations.

You will have a proven track record in problem-solving and analytical thinking. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively.

You will be a strategic thinker with a focus on long-term objectives and outcomes. Familiarity with the planning process and its implications for development projects. Adaptability and resilience in dynamic work environments. A commitment to environmental sustainability and achieving net-zero goals.
