We are currently recruiting for a permanent Joiner with plumbing skills to carry out maintenance work within our property portfolio in the Bristol and South West area.
What your role will be
In this role you will utilise your knowledge and experience in joinery and plumbing, to be able to carry out repairs, providing a cost-effective and customer-focused service. Your time will be split between carrying out planned and responsive works in our tenanted properties as well as working within our void homes.
You will ensure that all works issued to you are carried out on time and in accordance with the Groups policies and procedures.
You will cover shifts Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
You will have a general building background with particularly emphasis on joinery. As one of our Joiners you will hold an NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in joinery/carpentry coupled with a strong working knowledge of plumbing. If you had experience of fire door conversion and/or working with fire proof materials that would be highly advantageous.
You will be able to demonstrate, at interview, excellent knowledge of best practice health and safety in the work place, your positive approach and commitment to delivering an effective customer service experience as well as an ability to create successful and respectful relationships with customers, colleagues and other departments .Ideally you will possess previous experience working a social or domestic housing environment.
Due to the travel required in this role, candidates must possess a current UK driving licence.
