More about your role

In this exhilarating role, you'll be at the helm of the Places Management Finance department, spearheading crucial tasks like upholding financial governance, delving into accounts, and conducting insightful analyses. But that's not all – you'll also be a linchpin in the Places Management SLT, working hand in hand with the CIO's team to craft strategies and propel business plans into action. As part of the Group finance team, you'll help steer strategic direction and foster collaboration across finance functions, ensuring the best outcomes for the group. Your duties will extend to ensuring compliance with financial regulations, nurturing a vibrant team culture, igniting continuous improvement initiatives, and championing the transformation of the Places Management division. And to top it off, you'll be entrusted with building and upholding governance and controls to safeguard decision-making integrity.

As our Finance department is primarily based in our Preston office, occasional travel will be required for team collaborations and meetings. But fear not – if you're ready to embark on this thrilling journey, we're open to a hybrid work model, allowing you flexibility to work from any of our other Places for People office locations on a hybrid basis (a mixture of office and home working) when you're not in Preston.
