More about your role
As Senior Kitchen Fitter, you will lead and support the safe day-to-day work of our kitchen fitting team, making sure they have the materials and equipment needed to complete installations efficiently. You will install kitchens to a high standard, inspect completed work, resolve snagging issues and ensure kitchens are ready to be handed over to Customers. You will also deputise for the Site Supervisor when required, helping work continue smoothly across the programme.
You will interpret technical drawings, assess properties before installation and work closely with Customers and other trades to resolve issues. You will keep accurate records, identify defects, risks or safeguarding concerns and help us improve our designs, materials and installation processes
Essential criteria
- Proven professional experience of kitchen fitting and carpentry, including installing kitchen units, worktops, sinks and appliances.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team delivering installation or capital replacement works.
- Experience organising the safe day-to-day activities of an operational workforce.
- Working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
- Basic IT experience, including updating job records and communicating with operational teams.
More about you
You are an experienced kitchen fitter who takes pride in completing safe, accurate and high-quality work. You can organise and motivate others, work confidently from technical drawings and coordinate effectively with other trades. You are comfortable working independently, keeping clear records and providing a helpful service to Customers in their homes. Experience in social housing, safeguarding knowledge or an NVQ Level 2 qualification in kitchen fitting or carpentry would be beneficial, but is not essential.
