More about your role

This is a 12 Month Maternity Cover, commencing from July 24

Our Reward team is part of the broader People Services team at Places for People, working alongside other HR professionals, supporting the c. 20 businesses in our diverse Group.  We're at the beginning of an exciting journey to create our new Reward strategy – creation of a grading, pay and benefits structure that works for our diverse business and allows us to attract and retain the talent we need.

This is a unique opportunity to create something from scratch and be part of that journey from the beginning.  This is not a business as usual Reward role, although the business isn't going to stop whilst we design and deliver our new approach, so we will still need to evaluate and benchmark roles and carry out all the usual cyclical activity: Gender Pay Gap, CEO Pay ratio reporting, pay review, bonus and benefit renewals, in addition to supporting senior leaders with expert advice and our RemNom committee.

We are looking for someone who can support the design and delivery of our new strategy, by rolling their sleeves up and using their expert reward knowledge to create the right solutions.  There'll be lots of data to crunch and analysis to undertake, so we understand how to land our proposals effectively, working closely with the wider People team and the business to design and deliver what works for them.

At Places for People, we prioritise our dedication to safer recruitment. Therefore, a  basic DBS check is mandatory for this position.

For more information, please download our job profile available on our website.

We are looking for someone with excellent communications skills who is able to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders as well as peers
