More about your role
You will report directly to the Head of Treasury and ultimately support the delivery of an effective legal Treasury service across the Group. To provide legal support to help the Tax & Treasury team deliver finance strategies and objectives in the areas of funding, lending, and banking objectives for Places for People Group whilst supporting other departments (such as Group Legal and Group subsidiaries) where required.
As we move out of lockdown we offer flexibility in your working arrangements whereby you will be given the opportunity to work from home; however please note that regular travel to our Preston office will be expected as and when required.

You will be a qualified; in fact we welcome applications from newly qualified solicitors that either have finance experience and/or experience in housing, banking or the property sector. If your experience is limited in the very minimum we need you to demonstrate that you have a keen interest and enthusiasm in these areas. You will be confident at turning your hand to a range of legal issues and problems, be confident when giving advice and know when to look to internal or external specialists for assistance. You will have the ability to document, review and contest loan agreements & other banking documents (including but not limited to ISDA, CSA documents) and be able to evidence where your advice has added value to business decisions and processes.
You'll be a highly skilled communicator that enjoys working in a collaborative way and engaging with stakeholders.
