Places for People Living+ are looking for two Tenancy Support Officers to join the Bristol Low Support service. Whilst supporting vulnerable people across Bristol you will provide practical support to our customers to help them maintain their tenancies, develop skills to support independent living
What your role will be
You will work with individuals who have been referred to the Bristol Low Support Service, carrying out regular reviews to ensure we are meeting their needs with support plans. You will link into third party suppliers such as local authorities, neighbourhood officers and landlords to support clients to manage their finances including budgeting, applying for the appropriate benefits and reporting any repairs.
The key part of your role will be to promote independent living therefore you will assist clients to use the opportunities across the community

To be considered for this post it is essential that you have knowledge of safeguarding adults as well as supporting vulnerable client groups. Ideally you will have experience working with people with complex needs and housing support.
A general understanding of welfare benefits, budgeting and debt management will benefit you in this role.
You should also have a local knowledge of the area and external agencies and be computer literate with the ability to pick up new systems quickly and will also be expected to demonstrate at interview an ability to assess and deal with conflicting demands within a fast pacing environment.
