More about your role
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment Manager, we are looking to recruit a Sustainability & Safeguarding Lead on a permanent basis.
Representing three of our Business Areas - DFM, Touchstone and RMG, you will play a key role in ensuring a consistent, commercially aligned approach to sustainability, compliance and audit management across all business areas.
Key responsibilities
ISO Management Systems:
Conduct internal ISO5001 energy audits for Touchstone and DFM, and ISO14001 environmental audits across all commercial businesses. You will act as the lead for all external audits and ensure ongoing ISO accreditation compliance, including managing audit actions across the business.
Sustainability Reporting & Carbon Reduction:
Assess climate related risks and lead on identifying energy saving initiatives in support of our carbon reduction plan. Collate and analyse data to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
Safeguarding Lead:
Serve as the business lead for Safeguarding, ensuring policies and procedures are clearly communicated to colleagues and robust checks are in place to ensure these are complied with.
Please note that this is a national role requiring regular travel to our sites across the UK. Your designated office location will be confirmed based on your geographical area and business needs.
At Places for People, we prioritise our dedication to safer recruitment. Therefore, a basic DBS check is mandatory for this position.
More about you
The successful candidate will hold a recognised qualification in Energy Management or Environmental Management or closely related sustainability discipline.
Experience & Skills
- Trained and experienced ISO14001 and ISO50001 auditor, with a strong understanding of environmental and energy management systems.
- Proven track record of developing, implementing, and delivering sustainability initiatives that drive measurable outcomes.
- Solid understanding of the property and facilities management sector, including awareness of current and emerging developments in legislation, best practice, technology, and innovation.
