More about your role 

We are looking for an exceptional senior leader for the role of Strategy & Integration Director to lead our strategy delivery plan and merger integration activities within our communities (social and affordable housing) business. Candidates must be ready to ‘hit the ground running', with previous experience of leading strategic delivery and merger integration, along with a strong understanding of operations within social housing. The role will lead the smooth transition of merger partners, drive operational efficiency, and oversee the delivery of our communities strategy and business plan. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Lead operational integration for mergers, working with key teams across a complex multi-functional organisation to ensure a seamless transition. 
  • Drive strategy delivery, resource mobilisation, and high-performance, setting pace and securing buy-in with stakeholders along the way. 
  • Successfully execute strategic outcomes and deliverables in line with business plans and effectively identify and respond to risks/opportunities as they arise. 
  • Ensure Customer service continuity and data quality is well managed throughout integration activities.  

Essential criteria: 

  • Significant senior leadership experience in strategic level roles (Director-level or equivalent), including leading customer-interacting multi-channel teams, within social housing. 
  • Proven experience of leading merger operational integration activities. 
  • Strong senior level stakeholder management and influencing, successfully leading large scale operational and cultural change within a complex, multi-functional matrix organisation. Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Strategic thinker and people leader with significant experience of strategy implementation and measuring success. 
  • Excellent risk management and decision-making in time-critical, ambiguous, or conflicting situations.

You're an experienced strategic leader, already working in a director-level (or similar) role, with significant previous experience leading large-scale operational functions and merger integration. You excel at working in complex, multi-functional environments and are committed to delivering exceptional service. You know what good looks like, because you've successfully led service transformation and high-performing teams throughout your career, and you have good knowledge of the opportunity within the social housing sector to stand out. You know what needs to be done and you are a self-starter who delivers results at pace, whilst having the emotional intelligence to promote advocacy along the way.
