As a result of internal promotion we are looking to recruit a Service Support Agent to join our ITS team in Bamber Bridge. Providing a high level of service to our internal customers you will provide 1st tier support to group companies across Places for People.
What your role will be
You will provide 1st tier support to our internal customers around the group. Following the best practise of ITIL V3 you will take ownership of incidents, requests and changes created by customers through to final resolution.
This is a fast paced environment therefore we need to ensure all queries are resolved within the agreed SLA targets and when appropriate escalating to the relevant support team. This role will require you to preform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software and configuring systems and applications as well as test fixes.
In line with the needs of the organisation you will cover one of three shifts between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
Once you have been fully inducted into the team you will join an on-call rota. This will be one week in five Wednesday- Wednesday. During this on call time you will be expected to respond to out of hour emergency queries 6pm-10pm with a set escalation matrix.
Excellent customer service skills are essential to succeed in this role. You won’t need extensive experience working within IT however this would be a distinct advantage a passion for the sector is a must. Desirable experience in Active Directory, MS Exchange and IOS troubleshooting, Our established team can teach you the technical knowledge but we do need you to have experience in a customer orientated environment. This will include troubleshooting and seeing problems through to escalation and resolution. Experience using cloud based systems would be highly beneficial.
Ideally you will have an understanding of Places for people as an organisation and core business applications. The ability to explain potentially technical or complicated ideas and resolutions in a user friendly way is key in this role.
