Based from our south rings office we are looking for a Senior Service Support Agent you will play a key role in the delivery of application support and resolution of T Service incidents to colleagues across the Places for People Group. This is initially a fixed term role until December 2019.
What your role will be
Following best practise of the ITIL3 process framework you will act as a point of escalation and support to other Support Agents. Using a ticketing system you will act on incidents and requests made through to final resolution.
These can be hands on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software and configuring systems and applications. Maintain and update an IT knowledge base including frequently asked questions resources to aid in the Service Support knowledge base. Review all service desk processes and draft new process where none exist
Working with the wider ITS team you will have an active role in resolving major systems, making improvements to avoid recurrences.
Acting as a point of escalation for the team you will have an in-depth knowledge of computer hardware and ITIL V3 foundations. Experience working within a 1st/2nd support role is essential. You will have a commitment to business improvement and have an understanding of process automation techniques.
