More about your role 

In this role, you'll take ownership of complex financial appraisals for your projects,  modelling scenarios to optimise returns and inform strategy. You'll interpret Development and Legal Agreements, ensure accurate reflection in records, and manage sophisticated debt vs equity funding arrangements. You will be responsible for running sensitivities and scenarios to help inform strategy and direction for complex projects, assessing the performance of different tenure types to include commercial and residential assets.  

You'll produce performance reports for JV and project boards, and act as the main financial contact for your projects working closely with your development colleagues. You'll collaborate closely with senior colleagues and partners, ensuring all financial implications are captured in group reporting. You'll also guide junior team members, oversee project updates, and ensure timely, accurate month-end reporting in coordination with the Finance Manager. 

 

Essential Criteria  

  • At least 5 years' experience of working on advanced financial modelling and/or appraisals  
  • Knowledge of Development Project Accounting/experience within the housing industry. 
  • Proven expert excel skills  

 

 

More about you 

You have excellent IT skills, especially with complex Excel models, and can independently prioritise and manage your workload to meet tight deadlines. You build strong working relationships and communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial colleagues, showing a commitment to excellent customer service, including liaising with senior Joint Ventures partners. You bring at least five years' experience in advanced financial modelling or appraisals. You are able to think independently, using your own initiative with a strong attention to detail working to regular deadlines.  

Ideally, you also have experience with month-end management accounts, strong time management and collaboration skills, and knowledge of development project accounting and relevant taxation. A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, RICS or equivalent) or comparable experience is essential.
