More about your role
This is an exciting role for a commercially minded Accountant (either fully qualified or able to demonstrate capabilities through experience) who is looking for an analytical role where the work you do supports financial and operational performance. You will provide a fully comprehensive planning and budgeting service for our organisation.
Woking in conjunction with the Head of Finance and Finance Director of Developments to provide commercial support on a number of the Group's development and business decisions by:
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of financial models to assess and understand the key performance metrics of Group investment and development decisions, assessing the impact on the Group's cash flow, borrowing requirements, regulatory requirements and financial statements.
- Working closely with the Development and Group Finance teams, Development Managers, Group and company Directors to understand the scope of projects, gather and challenge relevant information and assumptions.
- Clearly present and explain the financial performance of a project and provide advice so that effective decisions can be made as to how project returns can be improved whilst considering, and where possible, reducing risks.
In this role you will oversee, analyse, and create evaluations which will allow the project team to maximise project cash flows and returns, the models must be sufficiently advanced to support a range of project scenarios and options

More about you
We are looking for a qualified Accountant (/ACA/FCAACCA/CAIMA)). You will also be looking for a position that combines day to day reporting with routine and ad hoc project work and collaboration with the Finance Manager others, and as such will be a natural multi-tasker.
You will need advanced Excel skills and be comfortable with modelling complex spreadsheets with large amounts of data, with this in mind it would be ideal for you to have experience working in a large matrixed business, preferably a housebuilders. You should also be able to evidence where you have identified and implemented process improvements that have increased efficiency and made a tangible difference. The role will involve some work with the wider business so good stakeholder management skills are also required.
