More about your role  

You will support the development, activation and monitoring of Places for People's external communications strategy. You'll help protect and enhance the reputation of Places for People through the delivery of effective communication, engagement activities and taking a proactive approach to media relations. You'll help manage media relations, leading on our proactive campaigns and support the team with crisis communications. You will help us celebrate our communities and our people by creating engaging content that supports our #BecauseCommunityMatters strategy and will work closely with our partners to maximise our profile.  

The essential criteria  

  • 4 years plus working in press office. 
  • Proven experience dealing with senior stakeholders  
  • Excellent writing, editorial, grammar and verbal communication skills

More about you  

You will be an experienced communications professional.You'll be able to demonstrate how you have used a range of communication approaches and strategies to successfully deliver communication campaigns and crisis manage. 

Due to the nature of the role, we would expect you to have strong presentation skills with the ability to explain and articulate concepts effectively and confidently to an audience of varied experience, both verbally and in written communications. You'll possess excellent people skills and enjoy engaging with stakeholders. Overall, you'll be a skilled communicator with excellent writing skills – in particular the ability to assimilate and understand complex issues and turn them into clear and engaging copy. 

Please note that this is an 'agile' role whereby you will be given the tools to effectively do your role from home; however, there will still be some requirement to travel to our offices across the UK when required. 

You will have great planning and project management skills with the ability to manage a diverse and varied workload.
