Due to continued growth, our Corporate Facilities Team are looking to recruit a full-time Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Technician Apprentice to further strengthen the value they add to the wider Group.
What your role will be
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, the SHE Technician will support in the delivery of safety, health and environmental support services to Places for People Group commercial premises on a national basis. You’ll assist and support management and operational teams, and will help develop, implement and review processes and procedures, training delivery and coordination, incident reporting and investigation, and data analysis and reporting. The role is offered as a 2 year apprenticeship, with a permanent position to be considered upon completion.
A genuine passion for keeping people and the environment safe is essential. You must be competent in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and hold (as a minimum) GCSE’s or equivalent in Maths and English (graded A*- C). A key part of this role will be supporting site-based colleagues in a fast-paced operational environment, so we require a demonstrable openness and eagerness to grow and learn new skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. A NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and driving license would be advantageous, and you will ideally have experience of working in a busy office/facilities environment.
