More about your role
You will supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance to ensure effective performance and development. You will coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and monitor workflow to meet deadlines. You'll oversee the general ledger maintenance, ensuring accurate transaction recording and monthly account reconciliations. You will assist in preparing monthly management accounts, analysing financial data for trends and opportunities, and communicate your findings to management. You will also assist with statutory accounts preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Supporting external audits and improving reporting processes will be part of your role, as well as reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
This is a hybrid role with a mixture of office and home working (2/3 days office based from our Camberley office).

Essential Criteria
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Fully qualified in either ACA, ACCA CIMA or equivalent with post qualification experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences. Strong leadership and team management abilities are required, along with a proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. It's preferred that you can build constructive relationships with key business contacts and possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial. A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience and advanced Excel skills are required.
