More about your role 

As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the delivery of value for money, customer focused services across all our asset investment activities. You will be responsible for supporting the Investment Delivery and Contractor Management teams and supporting the implementation of the procurement strategy for the maintenance and investment programmes in accordance with the contract and Group requirements. 

You will work directly with our partner contractors and Investment Delivery colleagues to ensure that we maximise the impact of the significant investment activity in our customers' homes, delivering high quality improvement works that are customer focussed and represent value for money. 

You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of a number of major projects operating simultaneously across the country. You will be required to travel occasionally to visit sites/projects and teams. 

This role will support the Programme Performance Manager ensuring that the Group complies with all regulatory and statutory requirements and Group policies. 

As a key member of the team, you will play a lead role in the transformation of your service, supporting system and data transformation as well as contributing to process and policy improvements that maximise impact on quality service delivery. 

This role is subject to a satisfactory Basic DBS check.

More About you 

To be successful in this role you will be commercially astute with strong project, programme, contract, safety, cost and change management skills. You will have strong technical and contractual knowledge and will have strong negotiation and decision-making skills. 

Extensive experience of managing contractors within a construction related organisation is essential and ideally you will have detailed knowledge of contract/cost management and Project Management IT systems. 

You will need to hold a Quantity Surveyor qualification to degree level (or have extensive relevant experience) for this role. It would be advantageous if you hold membership of a related Chartered Body, but we offer extensive personal and career development opportunities which may include progression through a chartered route.
