Places for People are currently looking to recruit a Project Worker to join our team based at Victoria Court. This is the ideal role for someone looking for a rewarding and varied role. This is a full time permanent role based on 36.25 hours Monday – Friday 9-4:45 (45 minutes lunch) with alternate Saturday working 9-12.
What your role will be
As one of our Project Worker you will work closely with our customers to ensure they receive bespoke guidance, support and enable them to make informed choice to overcome barriers, with the aim of moving them on to permanent housing.
The role is exceptionally varied and no two days are the same. As a project worker you will work with customers on a range of topics such as basic living skills, managing a tenancy, overcoming barriers and these will be conducted in either in a 121 or group setting. Your role will be to engage with and arrange suitable activities for the customers in order to reduce isolation.
As a project worker you will be responsible for Housing Management and will have to monitor rent accounts with our customers. You will be required to carry out the administration of your caseloads, making sure our online systems are well maintained and accurate. Therefore strong IT skills and a willingness to learn new packages will be useful.
This role will require you to work with single homeless customers. To be considered for this post it is essential for you to have knowledge of safeguarding adults and children as well as supporting vulnerable client groups. Ideally you will have experience working within a homeless scheme, teaching life skills and providing encouragement to residents. You should be computer literate with the ability to pick up new systems.
