The Programme Office are a key part of the IT function within Places for People. We are now looking to recruit an IT Project Manager on an initial 12 month fixed term contract.
More about your role
Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Project Manager will play a role in the delivery of technical projects that meet business requirements whilst also ensuring the relevant governance and documentation is in place.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of assigned technical projects and act as the primary point of contact for any issues that may arise. As well as creating and developing project delivery plans, you will ensure that the overall project team are aware of their own personal roles and responsibilities. You will be comfortable managing multiple moving parts and have strong financial governance abilities.
At Places for People, we are committed to a safe working environment so a basic DBS check is mandatory.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a housing association and have worked on IT projects. A relevant PM qualification is also desired along with experience working with cross functional teams.
Experience & Skills
- Experience working within a housing association,
- A proven track record of working on IT projects, experience of IT Connectivity or Telecoms based projects is desirable but not essential
- A PM qualification e.g. APM or PRINCE II,
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written, alongside the ability to work cross functionally with technical, operational and commercial teams
- Stakeholder management and engagement skills.
