Our Sheffield property maintenance team is recruiting for a permanent Labourer / Cleaner to join their team. We are looking for someone who has previous experience carrying out a similar labouring/cleaning role where there is an emphasis also on the cleaning aspect to ensure work spaces are clear, organised and in line with Health and Safety standards and voids are cleaned to a high standard ready for the new customer to move into.
What your role will be
As a Labourer/Cleaner within our Sheffield property maintenance team you will ensure that the cleanliness and safety of all internal and external working areas of our properties are maintained to a high standard. You will carry out effective, regular cleaning internally and externally to our void properties, using the correct materials and equipment.
Working alongside a Roofer, you will be expected to assist and carry out low level repairs void properties, communal and external areas.
Your typical working hours will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8am – 4.30pm.

Ideally you will have experience working within a similar role in Social Housing or Responsive/Void Repair works and possess the ability to carry out low level maintenance and safety repairs, such as fencing, paving, basic joinery and groundworks. Roofing experience would be advantageous and experience working in customer facing environment is also essential.
A good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace is crucial as are record-keeping skills as you will ensure all administration of safety checks is recorded and up to date. A good level of communication skills are required and computer literacy would be desirable.
A full and current UK driving license is essential.
