More about your role

You will work across a small geographical area to  support in planning, implementing and reviewing the Contract's annual Health and Wellbeing plan. You will ensure that the leisure facilities in the contract are supporting the local and regional objectives in line with Places Leisure's strategic aims. You will find and work with key partners to involve and engage communities in healthy activity. Partnerships you identify or build on can incorporate any groups where healthy activity is a key aim. These can include the local council, local sports clubs, schools, the NHS and clinical commission groups and community centres.

You will also help with marketing and brand awareness ensuring that local communities and groups that might not ordinarily access fitness activities are communicated with via newsletter, social media, press releases and email campaigns.

More about you

To achieve in this highly visible role you will have worked with senior managers in delivering a strategic plan which supports the initiatives of external stakeholders. Ideally you will have knowledge public health landscape and have had experience working in partnership with local authorities in progressing their community health agenda.

You will be a strong communicator who is comfortable helping to deliver change, someone who has a track record in influencing others, at all levels, to help deliver strategic goals. In addition you will need to demonstrate where you have balanced both practical and commercial considerations when delivering change.
