More about your role
As a department lead, you will shape, plan, implement and review the fitness offer within your facility. Support, mentor and manage your team to achieve all healthy communities and fitness related KPI's. Your key focuses will align to the Healthy Communities and Fitness strategy on a page aspirations - customers, colleagues, retention, technology, commercial, group workout, environment In addition, develop/manage a range impactful health and wellbeing initiatives, targeted at communities who experience the greatest health inequalities

This a varied and interesting role, that will include working as Duty Manager and running shifts each week. The role will involve managing, recruiting and training staff, dealing with customer's concerns, driving up memberships, preparing reports and attending meetings. You will represent the Places Leisure and you will need to be a motivated individual who will take on responsibility to lead a team and ensure the efficient day to day running of the centre.

Preferred Criteria
- Management experience within gym environment
- Level 3 Fitness
- Exercise to Music, Group Cycling or Les Mills
- Proven track record of delivering health initiatives
- NPLQ qualification or willing to complete
- Pool Plant Operator qualification or willing to complete
