Following recent changes within the organisation and an office relocation, Derwent FM are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to come and our team.
What your role will be
If you enjoy variety in your daily activities and overall objectives then this is the role for you. Ultimately you will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts. Furthermore you will play a lead role in the audit process and the completion of the Derwent Livings statutory accounts.
A key part of this role is managing a small ensuring that you act as an effective manager/mentor; this includes providing support when needed and ensuring they feel engaged in their role.
Although this is an operational role there is definitely opportunity to influence at a more strategic level as you will be given the opportunity to contribute to the Business plan and the overall key aims of the finance function.
To be considered for this role you will need to be qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience of managing a team or you have played a lead role within the teams in which you have operated. You will have experience of producing management and statutory accounts and enjoy interacting with stakeholders. You will consider yourself as an effective communicator that is able to influence at all levels and is able to speak to non-finance people in a way that they can easily understand and translate key information.
You will be an extremely competent I.T. user that is particularly strong with MS Excel.
