More about your role
The role is Fixed term or secondment for internals for 12 months
As part of our Early Tenancy Money Advice Team, you will play a key role in supporting our most vulnerable customers by providing a comprehensive service incorporating information, advice, assistance and representation on a wide range of social, welfare and financial issues. You will also support customers to access relevant health, wellbeing and community services through effective signposting and referrals.
You will deliver a customer focussed money advice service to our customers, providing a bespoke service to our diverse customer base with a view to maximise income, community enhancement and tenancy sustainment.
Assisting customers and providing advice on a range of topics from money advice and budgeting to promoting digital inclusion, this is a truly customer focussed role, providing empathy and compassion in all situations whilst ensuring the correct information is delivered and understood by our customers.
The essential criteria for this role is listed below.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits, budgeting, current social housing or wider welfare issues
- In depth knowledge of relevant legislation and welfare reform.
- Experience of working with customers who may have additional or complex needs, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing a customer focused, impartial and confidential service.
The role is primarily working from home however you will be required to be an hour away from one of our main offices.

More about you
We are looking for applications from people who are able provide our customers with complex information in more simplistic ways, excellent customer service skills are an absolute must, as is the ability to adapt your communication style to fit our customers who may have different or complex needs.
You will have previous experience & understanding of welfare benefits, current social housing and wider welfare issues as well as an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation & welfare reform.
The ideal applicant will have great communication skills which will allow you to build a good rapport with our customers and colleagues.
