More about your role
You will ensure the smooth running of the building at South Rings, Bamber Bridge, carrying out a range of different duties including; general maintenance and checks, security and supervision of the site. You will act as one of our primary key holders, having responsibility for the security of the building and associated areas. You will monitor the overall standards of cleanliness on the premises including furnishings, reporting back to the office manager and FM helpdesk if any repairs or maintenance work is required.
You may be required to respond to calls outside normal working hours as a result of building issues, breakdowns or break-ins etc and/or the setting off of the burglar alarm, however you will do this along with other caretakers on a rota basis. You will link in with our FM helpdesk, ensuring they are aware when we have contractors arrive to site, and you will undertake office/site inductions for contractors (training will be provided)
The role is based primarily at South Rings, Bamber Bridge however on occasion may be requested to support another office site we have at Riversway Docklands in Preston.

You will work 20 hours per week, the hours will 3pm - 7pm however some flexibility will be required to cover morning and evening shifts when required.

Experience working within a similar facilities/maintenance based caretaker role is essential, onsite management experience is highly desirable. Previous knowledge of control of substances hazardous to health, risk assessments and methods statements would set you apart from other candidates. We are looking for someone who is willing to be flexible, to help best support the delivery of our services.
You will work closely with a wide range of internal colleagues and external contractors, suppliers and customers. We therefore need the successful applicant to have excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand and meet our customer demands. You must be a team player and be willing to be flexible when cover is needed for sickness and holidays
Although you will have the support of the wider caretaking and office management team, we need you to be able to work with minimal supervision. This will include working to meet set or your own deadlines.
