More about your role  

You will be our presence in the neighbourhoods you manage, spending most of your time working in our communities, providing an effectiv.  property and site inspection service to our customers. With support from the Community Housing Managers you will ensure that customers meet their contractual obligations and that neighbourhoods are as safe, clean and attractive as possible.   

You will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance in our buildings and on our sites. You will use an inspection application to record and submit reports and meet timescales targets for inspections. You will be responsible for ordering and having installed replacement signs and noticeboards.  

You will work closely with the other ACHM in the London Team, jointly managing a tracker spreadsheet for your inspections. You will work together on carrying out some of the actions arising from your inspections. You will also carry out home visits to customers on behalf of Community Housing Managers, such as for rent arrears enquiries and mutual exchange inspections.  

You will be responsible for arranging clearance of unauthorised customer possessions in the internal communal areas, working with our Landscapes Team and the other ACHM as joint working is essential for this task.  

Reporting into the Area Manager, you will work as part of an established team to manage our neighbourhoods.  

This fixed term contract is until the end of March 2026. 

The essential criteria for this are listed below;  

  • Experience of working in the housing sector  
  • Understanding of the need to ensure health and safety compliance in residential buildings  
  • Good organisation, attention to detail, IT and problem solving skills  
  • Good customer service and communication skills.  
  • Full UK Driving Licence   
  • Willingness to lone work on our estates.

More about you  

We need you to have excellent communication skills ensuring a polite and courteous manner at all times is paramount to this role – you won't be sat behind a desk or phone; you will be working closely with our customers and your colleagues. Therefore, you should beable to demonstrate the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships.   

You should have experience working within a social housing role and have basic knowledge of housing and tenancy legislation and procedures which can be acted upon to make informed decisions.   

You will need to demonstrate tenacity, resilience and attention to detail, as well a commercial approach to what you do, using your initiative, and are eager to contribute towards making positive changes. You will need to be a positive motivator with the ability to support others deliver an effective service, whilst maintaining your own motivation levels working autonomously.
