More about your role
As part of this apprenticeship, you will work towards achieving a Level 2 City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry & Joinery equipping you with the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours to succeed in your role.
During your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to spend up to 4 working days a month at our PfP Thrive training academy based at 1 Centro Place, Derby DE24 8RF. This state-of-the-art facility, supported by highly qualified instructors, will provide you with hands-on training and guidance to help you excel in your position.
The apprenticeship programme will last for 2 years, during which you will develop practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and the confidence to take on various carpentry & joinery tasks. To complete the apprenticeship successfully, you will need to pass all required qualifications and assessments.
You're expected to work efficiently and responsibly, informing your manager if you're unable to do so. Maintain a clean appearance and ensure any assigned IMS vehicles or equipment are kept in good condition and secure. Use technology to support your work and meet regularly with your mentor or manager for guidance. Take part in team meetings, contribute to improvements, and handle calls professionally. When entering tenant properties, keep them informed and leave the space clean. You'll attend college at PfP Thrive in Derby and complete all required coursework. Be ready to attend training, even outside normal hours, and always follow health and safety standards, customer care policies, and emh group procedures. You're also expected to support broader initiatives like community development and equality and take on reasonable additional tasks when needed.

- Interest in Joinery/Carpentry with exposure in either a relevant college course or or DIY at home
- Passionate about customer service
- Ability to work in a team
- You will need to be in a reasonable commutable distance Leicester.
More about you
You will be dedicated to completing the Apprentice Joinery course and attending the block release at PfP Thrive based at 1 Centro Place, Derby DE24 8RF. You will need to consider how to get to and from this location.
You should be able to follow instructions, have basic IT and keyboard skills, and understand the importance of providing great customer service. Good time management, motivation, and taking responsibility are key. You need to be quick to learn new skills and stay smart and presentable. Ideally, you'll also have GCSEs or equivalent qualifications at grade C or above in maths and English.
