More about your role
As our Apprentice Commis Chef, you'll develop the skills knowledge and behaviours to start your career in Hospitality and the Food Service Industry. With opportunities to see career progression into a Commis Chef role upon completion of the programme. You'll study a Commis Chef Apprenticeship and access a bespoke learning and development programme.
Day to day you will complete tasks to support the Head Chef and Kitchen Assistant. This will include preparing ingredients, presenting food to exceptional standards, and learning how to adhere to the high expectations of cleanliness whilst limiting the risk of any food safety hazards.
As you develop in experience your role will become more challenging and varied. With more autonomy to take on tasks. You will be given the opportunity to contribute with the preparation of new menus and partake in the different themed evening menus to broaden your knowledge of dishes from a variety of nationalities.

More about you
This is the ideal role for someone wanting to take their first step into a career in Hospitality and the Food Industry. You'll benefit from support from across Places for People including your team and the Early Careers People Team.
No previous experience is required, as you'll receive the qualifications and training you need to succeed. You'll have an interest in all things food, a dash of creativity and the ability to work well under pressure
You'll be able to motivate yourself and take constructive feedback well. A clear commitment to learning and self improvement is essential to succeed in this role.
